The Ministry of Government and Consumer Services held a press conference this morning (July 25, 2017), and Malvern’s President, Bill Thompson, was in attendance for the event.
The Minister of Government and Consumer Services, Tracy MacCharles, announced that the changes in Condominium legislation affecting licensing of Condominium Managers in Ontario will officially take effect in Fall 2017.
On September 1, 2017, the Condominium Authority of Ontario (CAO) will begin providing education for Condominium Directors which will satisfy the mandatory Director education under the Protecting Condominium Owner’s Act 2015.
The Condominium Management Regulatory Authority of Ontario (CMRAO) will begin licensing Condominium Managers under the Condominium Management Services Act 2015 effective November 1, 2017. Managers will have 90-days from November 1, 2017 to apply for a license to manage Condominiums in Ontario.
